for file portability
Create portable encrypted files to share, carry, move, distribute,
sell, or archive. Creates a self-extracting executable that
can be decrypted by anyone, even those who do not have Icon
Lock-iT on the destination computer.

Locking a file, multiple files or a folder
You can secure one file, multiple files within a folder, or
the folder itself. The selected files can then only be opened
by entering your password.
Unlocking a file, multiple files or
a folder
Unlocking files and folders that have been password protected
and encrypted is performed similarly to locking multiple files.
It can be as as easy, providing you have the password.
Passwords & Hints
Passwords for each locked file are optionally stored within
the file with the same encryption as the file itself. You achieve
a higher security level if you keep the password from the encrypted
file. When locking a file, you must enter the password twice
as password verification, avoiding a password typo. Icon Lock-iT
includes an invaluable "Hint" feature just in case
you forget or misplace your password.
Administrator features
Define who can do what and when with Icon Lock-iT XP. Define
access and use rights by group or individual user. Select from
group or user lists relating to your computer or network.
Copy, move and delete restrictions
Locked Files and Folders cannot be copied, deleted or moved.
Locked folders contents are removed from plain view. Only unlocking
a folder will reveal its contents. This feature does not apply
when using the "self-decryptor"
feature.
Autolock and Unlock
AutoLock automatically locks and unlocks files and folders according
to your specifications. You choose the files and events and
Icon Lock-iT XP will perform a scheduled lock or unlock on those
files whenever those events occur.

"right click access" available, define access and use rights
